OverviewBased in Newstead, the Graduate Data Engineer is responsible for assisting senior team members and stakeholders to improve regulatory processes and outcomes with input from a systems engineering perspective.We are seeking experienced professionals for multiple engineering roles across various disciplines, including mechanical and software engineering, field services, and aviation maintenance.
The description below reflects the general responsibilities and qualifications expected for engineering positions within the organization.ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise and engineering support to customers for field-based projects and operations.Assist senior engineers to design, develop, test, and optimize systems and processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fixes and improvements into production software and hardware.Support field-based testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities as required.Assist in drafting technical instructions, procedures, and training materials.Provide timely technical support to customers to maximise system availability and performance.What you will be doingAs a Field Services Representative, provide SME advice on engines, avionics and military systems requiring engineering approval.Deliver AOG and troubleshooting support and provide continuous training to maintenance personnel when requested.Support aircraft maintenance and provisioning activities and help resolve parts shortages.Assist in reducing nil fault found occurrences and in drafting procedures and technical instructions.Contribute to corrective actions to maximise aircraft system capability, availability, readiness, safety and longevity.About youAbility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance at NV1 and ASIC requirements.Extensive troubleshooting experience on relevant flight-line or aviation systems.Multiple years of aviation maintenance or certifying staff experience as applicable to the role.Strong knowledge of DASR regulations and project management qualifications.Ability to teach and mentor others and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.What we offer18 weeks paid parental leaveFlexible working options including hybrid arrangements, 9-day fortnights, volunteer leave, and flexible start/finish times2 weeks paid reservist leaveHealth and wellbeing programs and employee discountsAdditional salary packaging optionsOngoing career progression opportunities and leadership developmentWho we areAt Northrop Grumman Australia, we have been defining possible for the ADF for over 20 years.

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.
