Location:

We are hiring Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers with experience in primary or secondary substation design to join our internal engineering team based in Brisbane.

This is a permanent role working for a global EPC contractor that specialises in the design and construction of:

  • Substations and grid interconnection infrastructure for renewable energy projects
  • Balance of Plant design for Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Electrical Balance of Plant scope for wind projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on design work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team
  • Develop and review primary or secondary electrical designs for HV substations (33kV – 330kV)
  • Support delivery of renewable energy projects from concept through to construction and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, client specifications, and grid requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in primary (e.g. HV layout, earthing, busbar, equipment specification) or secondary (e.g. protection, control, schematics, SCADA) design
  • Previous work in EPC, utilities, or design consultancy environments
  • RPEQ registration (preferred for senior roles)
  • Knowledge of Australian standards and grid codes
