**CIVIL OPERATIONS MANAGER - THE GULF**

Walkabout Civil has an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations manager to join our privately owned and operated business. This position requires you to assist and oversee the business's operational activities in various FNQ work fronts/remote areas

**About Us**:
Walkabout Civil is a company located in remote Queensland, specializing in roadworks and earthworks for isolated regions in Northern Queensland and Northern Territory. Our expanding team comprises committed and skilled operators, with an emphasis on hiring local community members and facilitating their entry into various roles within the civil industry. We take pride in ensuring that our projects are executed promptly and safely, maintaining exceptional communication throughout the process.
- Management experience essential
- Experience in civil/roadworks/earth moving is essential
- Experience operating civil machinery a bonus
- MC license a bonus
- Strong communication skills
- Good people management skills
- Proven record for leading a successful team
- Ability to lead continuous improvement and WH&S
- Proficient in the computer skills

**The Position**:

- Assisting and managing observations on various work fronts in FNQ/remote communities
- Coordinating machine movements and availability when owner is not available
- Operate civil machinery when required
- Drive business growth, cultivate new opportunities
- Maintain positive customer relationships
