Product Owner

Key to Sky's success is the content it produces. But before our teams can get out on the road or into the Studios and Edit suites, our planning teams will be using our resource planning system to forecast, plan and allocate our people and facilities to each production. As the Product Owner of the Sky Sports production resource planning system, you will be working with stakeholders across content production areas (including Sky Sports and Sky Sports News) as well as technology and business stakeholders across Sky, to define and deliver the strategic road map for the system.

What you'll do:

- Define and deliver the strategic roadmap for the system, based on clear commercial rationale and robust analysis, aligning it to the overall strategy for content production departments.
- Drive delivery on roadmap projects, working alongside business leads within the Production Operations teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Technology support & development team to optimise existing capabilities as well as creating new ones.
- Work closely with the Technology support & development team to ensure the best solution is designed to meet the objectives of the business, as well as delivering system enhancements, administration and regular system upkeep.
- Supporting users understanding of key developments, UAT and key product milestones.
- Provide thought leadership to our business stakeholders based on data trends, product landscape change and industry best practice, to ensure you are continuously assessing the tool for its suitability and performance.
- Lead/facilitate/support commercial decision making with regards to the contracts for the resource planning system, working closely with procurement and legal teams, providing relevant analysis and input where required.

- People facing: the ability and desire to engage with users and stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
- Experience: Evidence of working as a product lead or equivalent role, ideally with the Salesforce platform.
- Excellent commercial skills: Able to produce and articulate realistic and deliverable product roadmaps that deliver business value and align to business objectives.
- Working in a dynamic environment: Enjoy task-focused delivery, a fast pace of work and overcoming challenges. Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a fluid environment.
