**About the role**:
Our client is seeking a Master Scheduler who will work with each of the Program and Project teams to help define, develop, and update a combined schedule, including cross and interdependencies at a sub-portfolio and program level.

A separate detailed schedule of the Digital Enablement Program will also need to be developed and maintained. This includes the identification of variances from original plan and the management of dependencies. This is an exciting, multiyear, program delivering significant change and digitisation to the agency.

The role of the Master Scheduler is critical to the success of the overall program by ensuring there is alignment across the whole of the separate programs.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop/create and maintain project schedules, and integrate into a master program schedule to identify the critical path across the sub portfolio
- Expert management of project and program schedules within an industry standard tool such as MS Project / Jira
- Contribute to scope workshops and assist the Project and Program Managers in development of project schedules
- Regularly liaise with project and program managers, business analysts, architects and vendors to capture project tasks and milestones
- Contribute to resource plans, tracking and forecasting
- Using contemporary techniques to explain progress
- Proficient skills in baselining and demonstrating change impacts
- Responsible for proactively communicating status with project and program leaders
- Evaluate project and program schedule, progress, and performance and identify developing problem areas and opportunities
- Gather deliverable information and updates from project resources for schedule updates, reports and meetings
- Update integrated sub portfolio level schedule
- Work with the Digital Enablement Program Director and team to establish and embed best practices and standards to provide consistent approach to scheduling and increase schedule management maturity across the portfolio
- Provide reporting and insights into the progress against milestones and critical path activities

**Highly desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of system development lifecycle and methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
- Proficient use of scheduling tools such as MS Project and Jira software
- Consulting experience on IT transformational programs or projects well regarded
- Government experience whether it local, state or federal agencies
- Base knowledge with M365/ Dynamics 365 and power apps

**Skills and experience**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of master schedule management to identify, capture, update and report on progress
- Proactive approach to develop/create and update multiple project schedules with stakeholders across different programs
- Build strong sustainable relationships particularly with the team and assist in their schedule needs
- Ability to customise and provide schedule views and data sets to assist team in their schedule needs
- Ability to seek out relationships with delivery teams to capture and track performance
- Must be able to deliver and meet deadlines, whilst working as part of remote teams involving internal resources
- Strong dependency management aligned with Critical Path Analysis
- Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
- Expert using contemporary tools to link RAID items to the schedule
- Expert skills in presenting information for differing (non-technical) stakeholder groups
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret complex data into simple to understand information
