**A bit about the role**

The Continuous Improvement Specialist works to improve the overall performance of Rabobank Australia & New Zealand (RANZG) through Lean Six Sigma, Agile and FOCUS Ways of Working training programs, team initiatives and large scale improvement projects by building a culture of continuous improvement across all of RANZG where best practises are shared and learned.
- Educate and develop Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and Agile skills throughout Rabobank
- Support and coach business units during deployment of process improvements.
- Use Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and Agile tools to deliver cross functional Process Improvement projects
- Role model Continuous Improvement behaviours
- Support the Continuous Improvement Chapter Lead in meeting organisational Continuous Improvement targets.
- Network with the Continuous Improvement community to learn and share knowledge in a collaborative environment
- This role will build and embed a culture of Continuous Improvement as part of RANZG's strategic agenda to embed Operational Excellence and a FOCUS Way of Working.
- The Continuous Improvement Team is part of the COO Domain. The vision of the COO Domain is Building Tomorrow's Bank Today. The role of the Continuous Improvement Team is to help achieve this vision through large scale Improvement Projects, Continuous Improvement Learning Programs to increase employees capabilities and through coaching teams to improve their FOCUS Ways of Working.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Work with the Continuous Improvement Chapter Lead to create energy and increased awareness around Continuous Improvement at Rabobank.
- Lead, deliver and manage improvement projects with measurable improvement. These projects will be selected from a prioritised project pipeline in line with Rabobank's strategic agenda.
- Actively support the delivery of process improvement projects to meet organisational targets.
- Actively mentor and coach Lean Six Sigma trained White Belt's to deliver Process Improvements Projects and to achieve certification.
- As a part of the Continuous Improvement Chapter, develop creative methods and tools to engage with stakeholders across the business to identify and prioritise improvement ideas and to provide the problem solving tools to enable these ideas.
- Develop and share best practices.
- Act as a change agent/coach to instil and sustain changes.
- Build positive relationships and establish credibility for Continuous Improvement within the organisation
- Work with the Continuous Improvement Chapter Lead and senior leaders of the bank to ensure Continuous Improvement capability is embedded in their teams. Strategically planning on how this will be done and delivered.
- Lead technical training in Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and Agile
- Coach employees and teams in Lean Six Sigma, Agile and FOCUS methodologies to help them develop
- Advise the employees and teams on best practice and how to implement and embed a Continuous Improvement Culture and support them through change

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Tertiary qualification in an engineering, finance, agribusiness or related discipline.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including intermediate level Excel skills.
- Willingness to complete and become certified in a formal process improvement or Agile methodology to Green Belt level and/or SCRUM Master (or equivalent) if not already certified.

**Desirable**
- Agile Project Manager Certified
- SCRUM Master Certified
- Design Thinking Training or Certifications

**Experience**:
**Essential**
- Up to 3 years' experience completing Continuous Improvement Activities in a Process Improvement capacity.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate environment, preferably in financial services.
- Exposure to improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to the implementation of a Continuous Improvement Culture.
- Exposure to delivering Lean Six Sigma White Belt or Yellow Belt training and certification coaching.

**Desirable**
- Working in banking, financial service, and/or Agriculture.

**Knowledge**:
**Essential**
- Ability to gather, synthesize and analyse data and draw logical conclusions

**Desirable**
- Project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Sound knowledge of rural and commercial industries.

**Skills**:
**Essential**
- Strong ability to influence key stakeholders, understand stakeholder needs and seek opportunities for collaboration.
