We are looking for a Product Manager in Melbourne with specific expertise in address validation. The Address Validation capability is an integral part of our flagship product CargoWiseOne. We have an ambitious goal to design and develop a best in class, global address validation product which will be used by our large and ever
- growing global user base. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in defining and owning the Address Validation product strategy.
This role will be a valued member of our Master Data Management team and be suitable for someone that is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. The scope of the role includes designing, testing and releasing complex software at scale that is used by and impacts a vast customer base.
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage deeply with customers to gain a thorough understanding of their unique business challenges
- Partner with other WiseTech Global teams to understand their strategic objectives and align development priorities accordingly
- Define and own product vision and product roadmap for the Address Validation product, aligning with the companies overall strategic objectives
- Collaborate with development teams, technical experts and delivery managers to deliver Address Validation product strategic objectives
- Ensure the product fulfills both customer and company needs
- Collaborate and influence external software providers to meet our strategic objectives
- Create relevant product documentation for internal and client use
- Respond to customer requests for product enhancements and support
- Create test plans and perform test execution
- Identify problematic address trends and patterns and make informed product design decisions to overcome these
- Be responsible for improving the quality of the Address Validation product
**Job Requirements**:
- Proven experience in address verification domain area is key and extensive knowledge of the key steps including address cleansing, parsing and validation
- An understanding of global address standards (e.g. Address geocoding) and proven experience using these standards to solve real world problems
- Extensive knowledge of different country address standards
- Broad knowledge of address structures across different countries and/or demonstrated expertise conducting extensive research to gain knowledge
- Experience analysing large address datasets using tools like Excel, Kibana and Power BI and quantifying why one approach is better than another
- Can engage and communicate effectively with external suppliers (address validation solutions providers) and internal stakeholders (development team, product managers and senior management)
- Ability to produce high level product designs, detailed product specifications, test plans, perform test execution, produce internal product documentation and customer facing elearning content
- Experience in planning and executing complex software releases on a global scale
- Proficiency in a second language a plus
