**Company Overview**
Join a leading player in transport and logistics, serving contracts in Mining, Government, and Defence.
**Role Overview**
Reporting to the National HSE Manager, you'll drive the HSE strategy, fostering a safety-focused culture.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing the HSEQ Management System.
- Developing Site HSE Plans.
- Promoting the Company's HSE strategic plan.
- Reviewing information submitted into the incident management system.
- Coordinating HSE training programs.
- Managing the regional HSE audit program.
- Conducting site HSE inspections.
- Investigating incidents and assisting stakeholders.
- Assisting in developing/maintaining HSE Risk Registers.
- Supporting the HSE Bids and Tenders process.
- Evaluating contractor HSE performance.
- Occasional site visits within a day's drive.
**Experience and Skills**
To excel, you need:
- 5-7 years HSE experience in warehousing and dangerous goods transport and storage.
- Strong relationship management.
- Experience with Major Hazard facilities and audits.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Incident investigation experience.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to business needs.
- Desirable: Dangerous Goods and Heavy Vehicle National Law experience.
**_Qualifications - Education and/or professional_**
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Environmental Management (desirable)
- Dangerous Goods qualifications/ training (desirable)
- Chartered/ Certified HSE professional (desirable)
- Internal Auditor qualifications - IRCA, Exemplar Global or equivalent (desirable)
