Job Title: Medical Practitioner Specialist
Job Overview:
A medical practitioner is required to provide clinical management and treatment of patients admitted to a residential unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical management and treatment for patients.
Practice within the scope granted by the relevant committee and approved by the council.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in clinical supervision and continuing education.
Adhere to contemporary evidence-based best practice and contribute to continuous quality improvement and research activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Registered as a Medical Practitioner under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW).
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or current specialist qualifications as recognised by the Health Insurance Commission.
Demonstrated commitment to health services and to early intervention, prevention and health promotion.
High-standard clinical practice with experience in maternal, infant mental health, including assessment of pregnant women and families with young children.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to continuing self-education, teaching and clinical supervision of staff.
Ability to adapt clinical practice according to contemporary evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement; willingness to participate in or lead research activities would be beneficial.
Effective communication skills.
