Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled medical practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the South Western Sydney Local Health District facility. The successful applicant will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under their care within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
About the Role
The position involves gastroscopies, ERCPs, EUS, outpatient clinics, inpatients, and on‑call support. This role requires ERCP and EUS as desirable skills. As part of a friendly team in a smaller hospital setting, you will have opportunities for career development and progression, training, and upskilling, as well as a strong management support structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the facility under your care.
- Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
- Comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including service provision to the local community, resources utilisation, and willingness to participate at an LHD level.
- Be prepared to participate in hospital, service, or LHD on-call roster.
Requirements
- Be a current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the RACP and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
- Have demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice to contemporary evidence-based best practice.
