**About the role**:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be based in Wangara and will take responsibility for procurement and scheduling in a fast-paced environment. The position will require a hands-on approach by a person with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment with a positive attitude to get things done and includes duties such as:

- Produce an achievable machine schedule to ensure machine utilisation is maximised and customer service is maintained
- Liaise with suppliers / sub-contractors and production staff to ensure productions goods are delivered on time
- Source and manage supplies including pricebooks, production inventory and physical inventory
- Develop a strong working understanding of the production administrative system
- Ensure cost efficiencies and proactive replenishment of material and services to meet operational demands
- Source and manage suppliers including obtaining quotes, checking pricing, raising purchase orders and ensuring compliance to Unique Laser's requirements
- Communicate with all parties the effective schedule requirements and expectations in order to identify any potential delays and make plans to overcome these
- Perform an active role in the maintenance and management of site safety
- Plan for maintenance in coordination with the Production Supervisor
- Maintain accurate and complete material certification for issue to customers as required
- Support the Operations Manager in other administration requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, essential
- Experience with scheduling, procurement and stores management
- Experience working with a sales and production team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service / negotiation skills
- Very high attention to detail
- High level organisational and planning skills to work to stringent deadlines
- Sound time management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Understands quality management systems
- A working experience of MS Office
