**Purchasing Officer | Eastern Creek**

PremiAir is a fast-growing Hire/Service company that specialises in the hire, service and sales of air compressors, generators, lighting towers, message boards and traffic management systems as well as providing onsite refuelling services. We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join the National Purchasing team in our Eastern Creek Head Office. If you are looking for a long-term career, please read on.

**Purchasing Officer main duties include**:

- Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals
- Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary
- Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately
- Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock
- Sourcing new suppliers and vendors
- Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled
- Establishing professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner

- **Experience in purchasing is essential to be considered for this role**:

- **A valid forklift license is preferred**:

- A valid unrestricted manual driver's license is required
- Good computer literacy skills
- High attention to detail coupled with strong organisational skills
- An easy communication style, with a capacity to quickly build successful relationships
- Can follow instructions and work unsupervised or part of a team
- Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable, punctual and has excellent work ethics
- Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
- Ability to perform physical activities
- Has a stable work history and checkable work references

**Experience**:

- Picker Packer: 3 years (preferred)
- Purchasing Officer: 3 years (preferred)
- Data entry: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate (required)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
