An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Food Operations team in a Full Time capacity as a Ticketed Operator
The Ticketed Operator must have experience in earthworks in order to ensure projects are effectively and efficiently executed. This position will be relied upon to provide assistance with projects and equipment operation, such as construction of animal habitats and maintenance of roads. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of relevant machinery, reporting any hazards associated and ensuring any malfunctions are reported to the appropriate parties.
Throughout their employment, they are responsible for ensuring all relevant qualifications and tickets remain in date and advise the Human Resources if any additional are required.
To be successful in this position, you will have a demonstrated ability to work in a high-performance environment, with a capacity to deliver all requirements of the role, great work ethic and the ability to work to a high standard within a team.
**Primary Duties -**
- Maintain plant equipment and operate all equipment to a high standard
- Report any hazard or safety concerns to the WHS officer regarding plant equipment
- Operation of plant machinery (where licences or permits allow)
- Maintain daily checks and 'pre-use' checks for all equipment
- Assist tradespersons as required
- Work within the guidelines of health and safety to ensure security and safety of self, staff, visitors and animals
- Sourcing materials and job planning
- Assist general building and maintenance tasks
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery/equipment within the relevant departments
- Liaise with external contractors
- Draft, design and provide feedback on Australia Zoo's facilities and displays when plant machinery is in operation, as requested by Senior Management
- Other duties as requested
- Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment

**Essential Criteria -**
- White Card
- HR truck licence
- Licence to operate excavator
- Licence to operate skid steer
- Licence to operate backhoe
- Licence to operate forklift
- Full, Manual Drivers License
- Proof of Coronavirus Vaccination (Unless otherwise exempt)
- Current Advanced 1st Aid Qualifications
- An understanding of OSHA Standards
- The ability to follow, understand and practise operating procedures
- A proven ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to working in a safe environment

- Other Relevant Certificates/Qualifications relevant to the role
- Any relevant WHS experience
- Manual drivers licence
