The hotel is located on Grey Street in South Bank neighbouring the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
About the Role
As a key member of our Food & Beverage leadership team, the Assistant Outlet Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of our venue.
Working closely with the Outlet Manager, you will lead by example, set high service standards, and foster a positive, guest-focused culture.
This full-time position is ideal for someone with a can-do attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
Previous experience in a similar leadership or operational role is preferred, but a genuine commitment to service excellence is essential.
Flexibility to work all shifts including PM shifts and weekends is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of the designated Food & Beverage outlet
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing team
• Assist with recruitment, training, and development of staff
• Create and optimise rosters to meet service and budget targets
• Drive revenue opportunities through promotions and upselling
• Maintain cost control to maximise profitability
• Ensure compliance with service standards, policies, and legal requirements
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar hospitality or operational leadership role
• Proven ability to perform in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Bar and barista skills highly desirable
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Experience in rostering, ordering, and stock control
• Proficiency with POS systems
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Immaculate personal presentation and professionalism
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Current Responsible Management of a Licenced Venue certification (desirable)
