An exciting career opportunity is now available for an Assistant Front Office Manager (perfect for an experienced Duty Manager looking to take the next step) to lead our busy Front Office and Food & Beverage teams at the Mantra Terrace Hotel in Brisbane.

The hotel is centrally located, only a short distance from the Brisbane CBD, with amenities right on our doorstep. With 85 rooms across three categories, Mantra Terrace Hotel is a cozy property full of potential (just looking for the right people to bring it out).

Managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels, the successful candidate will be a dedicated, hardworking, and hands-on hospitality professional with a passion for driving loyalty, team development, managing expenses, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Working within set budgets related to wages and adjusting rosters according to demand;
  2. Gaining thorough knowledge of venue facilities, including room types, locations, and numbers;
  3. Driving growth of accommodation services through marketing, upselling, and staff training;
  4. Ensuring reservation accuracy regarding deposits, billing, credit details, VIP requests, and rates;
  5. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients, local residents, and businesses, while establishing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proactive, responsible, and flexible approach to work;
  • Comprehensive financial understanding, especially in managing profitability and controlling wages;
  • Experience leading, developing, and mentoring a Front Office team;
  • Initiative, commitment, and passion for the hospitality industry;
  • Effective communication skills with team members and other departments;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Impeccable presentation and grooming;
  • Understanding of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 compliance;
  • Commitment to workplace safety.

This is a full-time salaried role involving shifts across a 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
