Job Opportunity:

The Coatings and Blasting Coordinator is responsible for leading a team in the execution of blasting and painting activities, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian Standards.

This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure timely completion of work while meeting strict quality standards. The coordinator must oversee daily operations, work closely with project managers, liaise with quality control, and monitor project progress.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and Australian Standards; collaborating with project managers to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets; and providing leadership, training, and supervision to the coatings and blasting teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or equivalent, at least five years of experience in a similar role, and demonstrated knowledge of blasting and painting equipment, techniques, and relevant Australian Standards.

Additionally, the candidate should have proven experience in managing teams and coordinating complex projects, strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and procedures, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to problem-solve under pressure.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift or move equipment or materials, and working conditions may involve both office settings and worksites, requiring some travel and working outside of standard business hours.
