Industrial Painter Opportunity in Western Australia
About the Role- Pursue a challenging and rewarding career as an Industrial Painter with our company.
- Prepare surfaces on steel or hard composition objects to ensure cleanliness and achieve the specified finish.
- Apply coatings using spraying or brushing techniques, adhering to safety protocols.
- Review painting specifications and comply with industry standards.
- Blast surfaces to meet tolerances and specifications.
- Record painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., accurately.
- Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Maintain equipment and machines, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and trades assistants.
- Reside locally in the Southwest region.
- Hold an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting, or possess relevant experience.
- Possess a valid Driver's Licence.
- Hold Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.
- Dogging/Rigging certification is preferred but not essential.
- Forklift Ticket is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrate physical fitness for manual labour and pass a drug and alcohol screening.
- Show a strong commitment to safety and a reliable work ethic.
