Engineering Manager Role Overview
This is a senior leadership position within the infrastructure and asset management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality outcomes and leading a team of engineers.
Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and plans.
Manage the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.
Oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice.
Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia.
Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.
High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
