About This Role
This position involves leading the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and asset management outcomes for the community.
The successful candidate will lead strategic asset management planning, oversee capital works programs, and ensure the effective application of engineering excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Manage multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with policies, strategies, and plans.
- Develop and implement asset management systems and maintenance management systems.
- Provide authoritative technical advice on complex civil infrastructure designs.
- Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
- Engage with stakeholders, residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.
- Drive innovation and sustainability in infrastructure planning and delivery.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
- Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.
- High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
