Engineering Infrastructure Assets Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Assets Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects that benefit the community. As a key leadership role, this position is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing Council's infrastructure assets, including roads, footpaths, kerb and gutter, stormwater networks, and marine structures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage the Engineering Services team to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant asset management policies, strategies, and plans.
- Manage the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.
- Oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.
- Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
- Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.
- Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
- Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.
- High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
