Senior IT Consultant Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Consultant to join our team in Canberra, Australia. This senior-level position involves on-site delivery and implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions.
About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to utilize their skills and expertise to drive business success.
Responsibilities:
As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on the deployment and implementation of innovative IT solutions.
You will be responsible for managing technical problem identification and resolution, as well as supporting system architecture definition, software specification, and design.
Your role will also involve participating in internal initiatives, creating consulting white papers, and updating knowledge bases.
You will work closely with stakeholders to keep them informed of issues that may impact project or company performance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects.
Expertise in UNIX or Linux database administration and tuning.
Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other infrastructure products including Ansible, Satellite, authentication services, virtualization technologies, and Linux security practices.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.
Practical experience with or knowledge of Python, Perl, and/or shell scripting language(s).
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Australian Government security clearance.
