About the role

The Capacity Development Officer will be instrumental in empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff while enhancing the cultural capacity of Metro North Health. The role will focus on the continuous improvement of internal process and systems to meet strategic and operational objectives, with a commitment to creating cultural safe practices and addressing systemic racism across all levels of the organisation.

About you

Develop and implement innovative approaches to enhance cultural safety and capacity within Metro North.
Lead initiatives that promote cultural safety across all levels of the organisation, ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded in operational practices.
Empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff by facilitating access to professional development opportunities and resources that strengthen cultural capability and capacity building.
Support the integration of culturally informed approaches into existing programs and frameworks.
