**ABOUT THE ROLE AND CLIENT**
Our client is a Queensland Local Government agency based in Brisbane's Southside, and they are currently seeking an experienced
**Grants Capacity Building Officer. **This is an opportunity that will see you joining the Community Services Branch. This branch partners with stakeholders and the community to create connected, healthy and safe communities in Logan.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Engage with internal and community stakeholders and networks to identify community funding needs and building opportunities relating to grants
- Coordinate and deliver information sessions, workshops and training to increase skills and capacity for local organisations
- Assist community with identifying and navigating appropriate internal and external funding opportunities, and assist with general enquiries relating to grants
- Identify outcomes success measures and monitor, evaluate and report capacity building outcomes on a regular basis
- Research and keep abreast of social and community trends, initiatives and priorities in order to provide strategic connects, advice and information
- Work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the Community Grants team and ensure the provision of consistent, quality customer service
**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in an appropriate Business, Communication and/or community discipline is desirable
- Proven experience in grant writing and/or performing a grant management role
- Knowledge and understanding of the operations of community organisations and community governance structures
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation, policies, procedures and standards relevant to the area of work
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to develop plans, coordinate actions, gain cooperation and deliver outcomes
- Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to autonomously plan, prioritise and organize work to achieve outcomes and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands and managing multiple projects and tasks
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare correspondence and reports, communicate and engage in active listening with a range of people, use initiative to guide customers and resolve problems and deliver professional advice and information using tact, diplomacy and sensitivity
