Delivering a $1B portfolio annually, the work we do is essential to bringing energy to our communities safely and reliably, while powering the nation's energy transition. With a diverse workforce of more than 2,300, we expertly deliver our services across Australia.
About the Role
We're looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure projects across the ACT. This role offers a mix of office and field work, giving you the chance to stay close to the action while managing the bigger picture. You'll be responsible for overseeing project development and planning, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement. Lead project delivery from development and planning to completion, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations and Zinfra standards
Implement and operationalise governance frameworks as set by the organisation and client, ensuring consistent compliance and alignment across all project activities
Manage subcontractors and direct reports, providing clear direction, resolving issues quickly, and maintaining high standards of performance and safety
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including senior management, engineers, and field teams, to support smooth project execution and collaboration
Oversee cost control and budgeting, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting to keep projects within financial targets
Monitor project schedules and progress, identifying risks early and implementing solutions to keep work on track and avoid delays
Interpret and analyse project data, using insights to flag issues, manage risks, and support informed decision-making
Champion health and safety, ensuring compliance with all legislative and company requirements and promoting a safety-first culture across all work fronts
Qualifications
You're an experienced Project Manager who brings a steady hand and a practical mindset to every job. Whether you're coordinating with crews on-site or working with clients and stakeholders in the office, you know how to keep projects moving. You're confident managing teams, budgets, and timelines, and you communicate clearly to make sure everyone's on the same page. You will also bring the following:
A trade qualification and/or tertiary qualification in a relevant field, as well as a minimum 5 years' experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally in the electrical or utilities space
A formal Project Management qualification (e.g. PMBOK) is desirable
Strong subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
