In the role of Human Resource (HR) Advisor you will be responsible for providing specialist recruitment and selection advice and services to hiring managers and delegates in Policy, Planning and Investment Division.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal clients and external stakeholders to gain support for and positively influence recruitment and selection and HR outcomes for the division.
- In accordance with divisional, departmental and public sector processes and legislation, provide timely and accurate advice to hiring managers and delegates in regards to all aspects of the recruitment and selection process, including:

- establishment management;
- job evaluation (JEMS) processes;
- advertising media options;
- other resource management strategies and solutions to address identified issues
or risks.
- Participate in recruitment and selection processes in PPI Division up to AO7 (and equivalent) level, as a panel member and/or a scribe, which may include some or all of the following tasks:

- prepare interview questions and/or work scenarios;
- attend the interviews to document the panel's collective assessment;
- conduct reference checks and ensure all required pre-employment checks are undertaken;
- prepare selection reports and compile all associated documentation for submission to the delegate for approval;
- prepare and submit the relevant forms to enable Queensland Shared Services to process the appointment.
- Support Senior and Principal HR Advisors in forecasting recruitment activity for PPI Division.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, forms, briefing notes and submissions.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activity and process outcomes for PPI Division.
- Actively participate as a member of the PPI HR team and contribute as required to general HR responsibilities such as providing tactical and operational human resource advice and support services in relation to employee entitlements and workplace rights, human resources policies and procedures, organisational change, discipline, performance management, employee grievances, independent medical examinations and employee illness and injury management.

This position reports to the Senior Human Resource Advisor.
