As a Coates Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for supporting the Capex Buyer team in the end-to-end process relating to the purchase of new hire fleet, from raising a purchase order through to the safe and timely delivery of our product. You will also assist in improving supplier price solutions and managing the pre-delivery process and requirements.

This role is working with the Coates supplier base to manage delivery expectations and ensuring goods delivered to Coates locations meet minimum pre-delivery requirements.
- Utilisation of the Coates Purchasing System and abiding by internal purchasing procedures and policies.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of records and documentation in relation to all new fleet purchases and ensuring delivery requirements are met.
- Optimise pre-delivery processes and supplier arrangement for all incoming Capex goods.
- Undertake Capex goods Purchase Orders.
- Provide reporting on Capex ETAs, pre-delivery and meeting the monthly reporting timetable at high quality.
- Maintain Preferred and Approved supplier listings and database.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Proactive liaison with the Accounts Payable team to expediate any outstanding purchase order payments
- Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture - champion safety with your colleagues and customers
