**About the role**
- Reporting to the Planning Manager, the role will be the first point of contact for any issues with the MOC and UGL fleets in operational service, and to coordinate fault detection and rectification measures between the train driver and the Fleet controller.

The position will operate on a 24/7, twelve (12) hour rotational shift work, acting as the primary point of contact for all customers via the "MOC service desk". Furthermore, this role requires input into operational planning for receiving, recording and prioritising maintenance activities for the UGL maintained fleets.

**About you**
- Trade level certification or equivalent engineer qualification.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot issues promptly, enhancing the efficiency of fault detection and resolution processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective interaction with internal and external clients and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and professional, analyses possible solutions using technical experience and judgement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Previous experience in rollingstock maintenance and/or commissioning.
- Able to read Technical Drawings, Schematics, Field Modifications (FMI) Parts Bulletins and Bill of Material Lists.
- Able to resolve complex mechanical and electrical warranty, quality, maintenance, and service problems

**Desired but not essential**
- Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW).
- Advanced (GE) locomotive system knowledge
- Other locomotive systems. (7100 / EMD / Brake / Air Cond, etc.)
- First aid certification
