About the Role
Service Stream's Telecommunications division is seeking a Program Manager (NBN) to join our growing company. In this role, you will be contributing to the profitability and success of Service Stream's Telecommunication business by managing the operational and financial performance of the Contract in QLD. Focused on ensuring that the Program is met, that contractual KPI's are met, budget is achieved, and operations are performed in accordance with compliance & regulatory, Service Stream's and Client's requirements
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Banyo or Kingsgate, QLD
Reporting Line: General Manager - Network Infrastructure
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a safety culture in-line with Service Stream values and ensure that there is no compromise in Safety, regardless of costs
- Create a workplace environment where wellbeing and mental health comes first for all employees
- Drive face to face leadership visits with the client, project teams and suppliers.
- Develop and establish an effective means of quality management in-line with business and client expectations
- Ensure HSE, commercial and legal compliance across all project activities
- Review and development of commercial risks and opportunities relevant to the projects
- Consult external and internal stakeholders for development of all systems and processes
- Provide support to all functional areas within the projects i.e., HSE, Finance and Commercial
- Engage with other state leaders and drive a culture of sharing ideas and innovations through collaboration
- Review all project design submissions (SAMs) for construability and provide sign-off to mitigate financial exposure of variations
- Establishment of reporting and data requirements specific to each project
- Review and evaluation of costs control process and non-claimable works
- Overarching responsibility of financial performance across all projects
- Development of business strategies to harness opportunities of additional scopes of work.
- Establish and maintain team morale and accountability through effective people management techniques.
- Train and mentor project leaders.
- Host updates as required with all NI staff in QLD and ensure they are updated through effective communication techniques.
- Develop and engage in development programs.
- Organise team-building events and monthly people training where possible.
- Manage all client escalations within QLD
About You:
Skills and Experience Required
- 4-5 years in a similar role
- Experience working with difficult stakeholders
- Experience with remote field service-based business
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills
- Strong team brief, Mentoring, facilitation experience
- Ability to communicate with all levels - technical, operational, all levels of management and across different cultural backgrounds
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Initiative, resourceful and innovative self-starter with a high level of energy and motivation
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
- Excellent customer relationship skills
