High-profile statewide implementation seeking a PMO Manager to lead program/project activities.

Hays have partnered with a huge state government department on a high-profile program of work to appoint an experienced PMO Manager to an initial 6-month contract with a strong chance of extension. Part of the ICT leadership team, and reporting into the Program Director, this is an exciting opportunity you won't want to miss.

**Your new role**

As the PMO Manager, you'll be responsible for providing program/project management discipline advice to the Program Director and a team of project managers on the implementation of a new electronic rostering solution. Your day-to-day will be fast-paced and varied, but some of your core duties will involve:

- Managing and leading the PMO to ensure program delivery by effectively managing integrated schedules, resources, risks, deadlines, and outcomes, and ensuring availability and robustness of processes and systems
- Provide leadership to program and project managers, offering expert advice in the analysis, creation, and implementation of program/project deliverables including the evaluation of risks identified
- Lead and support the PMO function including methodologies, standards, risks/opportunities, benefits, and interdependencies between projects at the program level
- Represent the program in high-level and often complex communications, collaboration, negotiations, and other interactions with clients, vendors, and other key stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will be an experienced PMO Manager, ideally with experience in health, government, or with a strong SAP system background. Your core experience/competencies will include, but are not limited to:

- Experience leading and motivating project delivery professionals, emphasising outcomes, quality client service, and a customer-driven culture in a changing environment
- Proven experience in creating large and intricate plans and schedules to support ERP implementations and transitions
- Demonstrated advanced communication skills, including advising, consulting, and negotiating with senior management and diverse stakeholders on complex strategic issues
- Exhibits high-level program/project management skills, designing and implementing plans, performance reporting, and effective risk management
- Demonstrated experience managing a program/project management office including the creation and improvement of key program/project artefacts
