Adelaide, South Australia Hmps Propac Full time

**Introduction**:
We're seeking a proactive and people-driven People and Culture Advisor to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract — with the potential to go permanent.
Are you passionate about shaping positive workplace experiences and championing culture through real action? Do you thrive in a role where no two days are the same — from recruitment and onboarding to safety, compliance and employee engagement? If so, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
**Description**:
At HMPS Propac, we don't just build automation solutions — we build high-performing teams driven by passion, united by collaboration, and committed to quality in everything we do. As our People and Culture Advisor, you'll help bring our core values to life — supporting leaders, empowering employees, and ensuring our culture continues to evolve with innovation and commitment.
This is a role for someone who's ready to roll up their sleeves and make things happen — whether it's fine-tuning systems, coordinating safety initiatives, or improving how we attract, engage, and retain exceptional people.
**What you'll be doing**:
**Drive recruitment and development**:
**Be a trusted advisor to leaders**:
Support and influence managers on all people-related matters — from team structure and workforce planning to employee engagement, organisational change and culture-building initiatives that foster collaboration and shared success.
**Support safety and wellbeing initiatives**:
Implement practical, people-focused safety and training programs that are nationally consistent, forward-thinking, and reflect our values of commitment, innovation and quality.
**Manage remuneration and benefits**:
Coordinate salary reviews and benefit programs, support policy development, and provide insights on employment conditions — ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with our culture.
**Keep our systems sharp and compliant**:
Own the administration of our HR system, maintain accurate records, manage new starter paperwork and deliver timely people-related reports — all with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
**Contribute to strategic P&C initiatives**:
Support EEO programs, engage with community and environmental projects, and and seek opportunities to elevate our people practices and create lasting impact.
**What you'll bring**:
Experience in a People and Culture or HR Advisor generalist role
Strong knowledge of HR practices, legislation, and employment standards
Confident communicator and influencer — with the ability to engage with people at all levels
Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both strategy and admin
A genuine passion for culture, safety, people development and continuous improvement
Experience with HRIS platforms and strong reporting capability
A collaborative and pragmatic approach — you know how to get things done
**It'd be great if you also have**:
Experience supporting businesses across multiple industrial awards
Familiarity with manufacturing or technical environments
A flair for recognising and celebrating people achievements
Availability to start in the first week of July, where possible
**Skills and Experiences**:
