**About The Role**
Based in NSW, DSA/Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a NDIS Compliance Lead to work within our Quality & Safeguarding department.
- Undertake/coordinate a program of self-assessments against relevant Standards eg. NSDS & NDIS Practice Standards
- Identify gaps from NSDS & NDIS Practice Standards selfassessment and ensure that a plan is developed and implemented in conjunction with relevant stakeholders and identified gaps are closed
- Monitor changes to the NSDS & NDIS Practice Standards and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure the risks associated with receiving non-conformances against any changes to the NSDS & NDIS Practice Standards are managed
- Work collaboratively with the Risk and Compliance Team regarding internal audits. Utilise the findings of the internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant Standards and thus ensure audit readiness
- Partner with the Knowledge Management Team to ensure that Scope Quality Management System is complaint with the relevant Standards and legislation
- Partner with the Quality Business Partner Team to ensure that the business is providing services that are compliant with the relevant standards and that service delivery is aware of and compliant with the relevant standards and legislation
- Prepare Scope for external audits against relevant standards by engaging with external auditors and relevant internal stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate the risk of Scope receiving nonconformances when externally audited against the relevant Standards and Legislation
- Ensures any non-conformances identified during external audits are closed within the required timeframes and continue to monitor the risk associated with any identified nonconformances
- Support the organisation towards the goal of one registration with the NDIS Commission and hence the consolidation of external audits against the NDIS Practice Standards
**About You**
- Previous experience in a compliance role, with a sound understanding of quality management systems, compliance principles, quality frameworks, internal auditing practice and the ability to coordinate corrective action plans
- Experience in Community and/or NFP organisations would be highly regarded
- Sound understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment for disability support services
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and Quality and Safeguarding Framework
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSDS
- Demonstrated understanding of human rights and other person-centred approaches to practice
- Experience in a change environment is desirable
