About The RoleMcCosker Contracting are seeking a HSE Compliance Officer to join our team for projects located in the Bowen Basin and North Queensland.
In this position you will be reporting to the Senior HSE Compliance Officer, this position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day implementation of the McCosker Contracting HSE system, the project works and engaging with site leaders, the business and other key stakeholders to achieve the projects and business goals.The HSE Department is responsible for promoting and building McCosker positive safety culture in operations and project by aligning deliverables and outcomes with McCosker and Client Safety and Quality Systems.To Be Successful You Will HaveMinimum 3-5 years proven experience within HSE capacity in the construction fieldDiploma / Certificate in occupational health and safetyKnowledge of the Civil Construction IndustryExpertise in communication, influencing, and problem-solving skillsExperience in writing reports and policies for health and safetyCurrent and valid driver licenceConstruction Induction - Blue/ White CardExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear documentation and reportsProficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and MS ProjectExperience in construction administrative processes and proceduresResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate HSE programs at the project on a daily basis.Ensure that workplaces conform to organisational and client procedures and safety standardsCoordinate, supervise and monitor the project to ensure that HSE key performance indicators are metReport situations at the workplace that could constitute a hazard to any person, environment, or equipmentComplete and manage all relevant paperworkManage and motivate a dedicated workforce to maximise operational objectives to include HSE programsConduct job observations and safety interactions to improve safety outcomesInterpret legislation, standards and technical specifications relating to HSEManage and drive safety, quality and environmental initiatives within the workplaceRecord, process, and store HSE data for ongoing evaluation and identification of solutions to improve the effectivenessDevelop and maintain procedures, work instructions and other safety practices and programs to assist in the growth and exceeding standards.About McCosker ContractingMcCosker are experts in the civil construction industry offering a diverse range of services to the mining, construction, building, gas and industrial sectors.
