Job SummaryThis role is more than just HSE delivery; it is a critical leadership pipeline designed to develop into a future General Manager position.
Key Responsibilities:- HSE Policy Implementation: Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, standards, and procedures across multiple sites.
- Incident Investigation: Lead incident investigations and support root cause analysis.
- Business Alignment: Partner with regional leadership to deliver strategic HSE outcomes aligned with business priorities.
- Safety Culture: Coach frontline leaders to embed a proactive safety culture and drive accountability.
- HSE Training and Compliance: Deliver and oversee HSE training, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with Federal and State Regulations and industry standards.
- Injury Management: Manage health, injury management, and return-to-work programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the business with regulatory bodies, industry forums, and community stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline (preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in a senior HSE role, ideally within high-risk industries (explosives/dangerous goods experience highly regarded).
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems.
- Culture Shift: Demonstrated success influencing HSE culture and driving performance improvement across multiple sites.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Specialized Knowledge: Accreditation in Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work Coordination.
- Clearance: Relevant security clearance or ability to obtain.
- Career Ambition: A commercial mindset with ambition to progress into broader operational and general management responsibilities.
