About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned professional to implement our comprehensive safety system across various projects in Australia. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Senior Safety Officer and collaborate with site leaders and business stakeholders to drive project success.

The HSE Department fosters a positive safety culture by aligning deliverables with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE within the construction sector
  • Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety
  • Strong knowledge of the civil construction industry
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
  • Current driver's license and Blue/White Card
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel, and MS Project
Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate daily HSE programs
  • Evaluate workplaces to ensure compliance with organisational and client procedures and safety standards
  • Oversee and supervise projects to meet HSE key performance indicators
  • Identify and report hazards at the workplace
  • Manage relevant paperwork
  • Motivate and manage a dedicated workforce to achieve operational objectives
  • Conduct job observations and safety interactions
  • Analyse legislation, standards, and technical specifications relating to HSE
  • Develop and maintain effective safety practices and programs
