The NSW/ACT Regional Service Operations team is seeking a skilled Data Officer to support performance reporting and drive data-driven decision-making.Your new roleAs an APS5 Data Officer, you will work under limited direction to deliver high-quality data insights and reporting.
Youll be responsible for moderately complex data tasks, including analysis, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement.
Your work will directly support strategic objectives and enhance service delivery across the region.Key responsibilities include:Extracting, cleaning, and analysing operational data to support performance and service delivery.Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel, Salesforce, and SAS.Conducting research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored reporting solutions.Supporting data quality assurance processes and contributing to project documentation.Providing technical advice and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Essential skills:Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation.Strong understanding of datas role in regional service operations, with a focus on innovation and process improvement.Awareness of strategic and operational contexts influencing data use.Experience resolving data issues and supporting risk mitigation.Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for non-technical audiences.Desirable skills:Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, statistics, information systems, or a related field.Experience with government data systems and reporting frameworks.Familiarity with APS policies, procedures, and service delivery standards.What you'll get in returnYoull be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
