About us VicFleet is a business unit within the Government Procurement group at the Department of Government Services and provides services to mandated general government departments and agencies, including: vehicle purchasing, finance leasing, insurance, registration and vehicle disposal. VicFleet plays a key role in contributing to the planning and delivery of the Zero Emissions Vehicle program. About the role
The Victorian Government is taking action to transition to net zero emission by 2050,to support a range of initiatives to facilitate fleet decarbonisation and optimisation to commence initial planning and development of a centralised fleet management model which will underpin future zero emission vehicle rollout within the Government fleet.You will be responsible for the preparation of vehicles by evaluating vehicle conditions and approving any repairs required prior to them being sold. The ideal applicant will have experience in the mechanical and panel repair industry. The role will include the coordination of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Ability to demonstrate high level skills in managing vehicle rectification processes including identifying items that will maximise return on disposal.
- Ability to demonstrate organisational and disciplined approach with an ability to coordinate concurrent activities and balance priorities to meet tight timeframes.
- Ability to demonstrate ability to identify and develop process and procedure improvements.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with an ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with clients, stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan and manage for best results all operational and administrative aspects of vehicle lease end of life disposal process. This includes weekly vehicle inspections on site at the auction / disposals location and the management of any vehicle repairs deemed necessary to maximise vehicle return on disposal. Ensure that all financial lease documentation complies with whole of Government policy and pricing guidelines.
- Ensure that vehicle data is correct within the Vehicle Lease Management System database, update vehicle status and load disposal data in a timely manner to ensure a smooth disposal process.
- Prepare and analyse operational reports from the Vehicle Lease Management System database.

Mandatory requirements
- Significant knowledge and experience in the motor vehicle industry, particularly as it relates to decommissioning, inspection, rectification and disposal programs.
- Experience in the disposal by public auction of motor vehicles, including the setting of reserve prices would be an advantage.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or business experience in the automotive industry.
- Current Victorian Car Drivers Licence
