**About the role

Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to deliver an advanced level of welfare service as an independent member of the multidisciplinary team to patients and to their families/carers of Cancer Care Services, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) to facilitate improved health outcomes with a focus on complex and vulnerable patients. Develop relationships with care providers across the health and community sectors to support access and advocacy for vulnerable patient groups (First Nations, CALD, people with disabilities) to access Cancer treatment

About you

Independently exercise decision making skills in resolving complex clinical cases with mínimal supervision of the senior welfare worker
Work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team providing advice on relevant welfare matters as required.
Provide information and advice to welfare team, multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders regarding services, resources and programs relating to patient care provision.
Participate in quality improvement activities, service planning and change processes within the welfare team and comply with the organisational and legislative requirements, including departmental and social work team meetings.
