Job Role

This role requires strategic leadership skills to oversee the provision of support to workers and their families under the Pacific Labour Mobility Scheme.

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing welfare strategies that connect sending country needs with Country Liaison Officers, Family Liaison Officers, and relevant stakeholders.

  • Strategically plan and direct the work of the Welfare Support Team to achieve objectives in supporting worker wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement welfare strategies that align with organisational goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to agree on roles and responsibilities.
  • Utilise data to assess trends and develop support strategies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders on initiatives aimed at improving worker wellbeing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work or a related field.
  • Significant experience in case management, preferably in migrant settlement or family support programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of case management frameworks and critical incident management.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of labour mobility in Australia and Pacific communities.
