**About the role

Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to deliver an advanced level of welfare service as an independent member of the multidisciplinary team to patients and to their families/carers of Cancer Care Services, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) to facilitate improved health outcomes with a focus on complex and vulnerable patients.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Apply independent judgement to interpret and resolve complex organisational policies and procedures relating to core business of the welfare team, such as patient travel and accommodation subsidy schemes, financial support systems, and resource development and management.

Actively maintain professional development to enhance clinical practice, specifically in relation to working with vulnerable patient groups, and to build knowledge and understanding of organisational demands.

Provide information and advice to welfare team, multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders regarding services, resources and programs relating to patient care provision.
