Job Overview

The Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program requires a senior manager to oversee welfare support for workers and their families under the Australia-Pacific Labour Mobility scheme. This role is crucial in ensuring the program's objectives are met, and stakeholders' needs are addressed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic plans for welfare support activities, aligning with program goals and stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring the Welfare Support Team operates efficiently.
  • Craft strategies for case management and critical incident response, collaborating with PLMSP teams and external partners.
  • Foster relationships with key actors, including country liaison officers, family liaison officers, and Department of Employment Workers' Rights representatives.
  • Analyse data and trends to inform welfare support strategies and interventions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in case management, with background or experience in migrant settlement, family support programs, or services advantageous.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of case management frameworks and critical incident management.
  • Leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, including performance management, team development, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Experience working in or with Pacific and Timorese communities.
