Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of project-specific HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
Provide expert HSE guidance and support to site leadership, supervisors, and workforce.
Conduct assurance activities ensuring overall compliance to HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
Promote safety engagement and accountability at all levels through training, toolbox talks, and visible field leadership.
Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure alignment with company and client expectations.
Establish and maintain disciplined practises towards onboarding activities for both MPK employees and subcontractors alike, by being proactive working with project staff, HR teams and commercial teams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
Support reporting obligations including internal KPIs, client reports, and regulator notifications Support the site construction leadership team with environmental compliance by leading training and education programs About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum 7–10 years' experience in HSE leadership roles within oil & gas, mining, or heavy infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing HSE on greenfield or brownfield gas gathering, pipeline, or related civil construction projects.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management, or similar.
Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training (highly regarded).
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
