The year 2025 marks an exciting phase of expansion for our HSE Team. We are looking for a highly experienced HSE Manager to oversee our East region and join our team based in Brisbane or Sydney.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager HSE, you will:
Lead a team of 3–5, to drive safety strategy and operational execution. You will partner with divisional General Manager HSES, divisional managers (MIN, EMT, LAC, MCC, LBC), internal/external customers, HSE and Sales & Marketing teams to embed strong HSE practices and ensure ISO45001 compliance. Acting as a safety expert, you will influence senior leadership, engage with regulators, and support commercial activities with HSE expertise.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision, leadership influence, and practical problem-solving in a dynamic, high-risk industry.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and oversee Liebherr's national HSES strategy.
Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen HSE accountability and capability at all levels.
Lead and conduct ICAM investigations for significant incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Manage ISO45001 certification and maintain compliance with legislation and company systems.
Develop and deliver HSE training and onboarding for managers and staff.
Oversee audits, inspections, and management reviews, ensuring timely follow-ups.
Analyse safety data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Support sales and marketing teams by embedding HSE into customer tenders and collateral.
Manage return-to-work programs and employee wellbeing initiatives.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and key external stakeholders.
Proactively identify hazards, risks, and opportunities to continuously improve HSE performance.
