**The Role**:
The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Co-Ordinator will be an integral part of our engineering consultancy to provide support and guidance and lead within the HSEQ area supported by a great team and reporting to a supportive HSEQ Manager.

This role will assist designated projects and regional offices to comply with the requirements of the BG&E HSEQ and align with the BG&E Strategic vision and values.

The responsibilities include:

- Continuously manage and work towards the best health, safety, environment, and quality duties as directed by the HSEQ Manager in line with Global Standards, Legislation and related Codes and technical Standards.
- Support the Regional Offices and staff to continuously improve HSEQ culture and communicate with all staff HSEQ performance, trends and compliance issues, whilst supporting and implementing initiatives designed to drive performance and prevent reoccurrence.
- Advise project teams in the development of a project specific Management Plan and related sub-plans, applicable risk assessment and other supporting documents.
- Participate in International and State management system or other accreditation or certification requirements.
- Hazard & Incident Reporting and Investigation and other reporting.
- Ensure compliance across new and existing work health and safety legislation, company, industry, government standards, practices and procedures.
- Supporting the best outcomes with internal stakeholders for Workers Compensation and Injury Management.
- Champion, support, mentor, and guide staff to ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest quality.

**About You**:

- Minimum of Diploma Cert 4 /Degree HSE qualifications required and a minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience.
- Proven track record in the management of HSE activities and personnel with a background in construction or engineering advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of current applicable Work, Health and Safety or Environmental Legislation, and appropriate technical Standards
- Understanding of Workers Compensation and Injury Management.
- Experience in conducting face to face and group training sessions.
- Exposure to formal incident investigation methodologies.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of others.
- Flexibility to travel interstate as required
