Schedule

Full-time

A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday).

Salary/Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).

The Position

As a HSEQ Administrator, you will be reporting to the General Manager of QLD with a functionality reporting requirement to the Business Process and Quality Manager. The HSEQ Administrator will play a key role in supporting implementation and maintaining LAI Group's IMS system aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. You will also ensure compliance with relevant legislation and coordinate all internal and external audit activities for the Queensland operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains LAI Group's certified integrated management system in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Plans, conducts and documents workplace inspections and internal audits.
  • Coordinate and support all external ISO certification and surveillance audits.
  • Identifies and reports improvement opportunities, non-conformances and compliance gaps.
  • Ensures HSEQ documentations including procedures, SOPs, work instructions on LAI Group's Intranet are maintained.
  • Participates in incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective & preventive action development.
  • Organises and chairs periodic HSEQ meetings, provides feedback to employees on Lai's HSEQ performance, and plans improvement actions to be taken.
  • To assist the State GM and leadership team in matters related to WHS management.
  • Delivers HSEQ induction, HSEQ training, and other training topics.
  • Ensures that legislative requirements are identified, continually reviewed, and implemented.
  • Ensures required HSEQ reporting is completed on time and accurately. Maintains HSEQ logs and documents. Prepares reports as necessary and requested.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a proactive safety culture and LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded.

The Candidate

  • Previous working experience in maintaining certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute audit programs both internal and external with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communicator with a proactive, analytical mindset.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals in a wide range of situations, circumstances, and settings, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce to achieve Lai's HSEQ objectives.
  • Advanced understanding of Queensland WHS legislation and its implications at a practical level in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Desired Competencies

  • ISO 9001 Internal auditing qualification is highly desirable.
  • Incident investigation training (ICAM, TapRoot, or similar), not essential but preferred.
  • Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV level or higher).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office and SharePoint.
