Are you an experienced Support Worker with a trade background?

At Quality Care, we are committed to providing high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to empower our clients to lead fulfilling and independent lives by offering tailored support services. We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker with a trade background, or someone who is confident in performing handy jobs around the house safely and effectively to join our team and enhance our ability to provide practical, hands-on assistance.

For this specific client we are offering 9 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase clients and hours if required.

**The following supports include but are not limited to**:

- Personal care (grooming, toileting etc.)
- Medication support
- Transport to appointments, recreational activities, and other events
- Life skill development
- Specialist support employment
- Assistance with household tasks (cooking, cleaning etc.)
- Participation in social, sporting, community, and other activities
- Group & Centre based activities

**About You**
- The successful applicants will be able to clearly demonstrate the following attributes:

- Be proactive in the ability to work successfully both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Experience in working with Clients who require Manual Handling.
- A willingness to work with participants and their families to support participant goals.
- Passion, professionalism, empathy, and integrity at all times.
- Basic ability in learning and navigating new software systems.
- Experience in following care plans - desirable but not essential.
- Sound & effective problem solving & communication skills and the ability to understand and deal with challenging behaviours.
- Experience in or willing to learn meal planning, preparation, and cooking with Clients.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Current unrestricted driver's license and exclusive use to a vehicle
- 3 COVID-19 vaccinations or valid medical exemption
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Minimum certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent or willingness to undertake
- Certification or experience in a trade

Pay: $31.96 - $67.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
