Our client, Women's Health and Family Services (WHFS), is a well-established and highly regarded community services organisation, supporting the health and wellbeing of women, their families, and their communities, providing assistance to vulnerable and disadvantaged women through their clinic, counselling, and support services.

The organisation provides a gender specific service with women as its primary clients and provides services to children and men where this will improve the overall health and wellbeing of women. The service is open to all Western Australian women and their families, with consideration made for the unique needs of Aboriginal, migrant and refugee families.

**About the Role**:
The role of Coordinator Family and Domestic Violence Services is to co-ordinate team members and outreach officers to deliver our domestic violence advocacy service. This role is responsible for overseeing this free service which helps women who have experienced, or are at risk of domestic violence, access support.In collaboration with the Executive Manager, you will:

- Provide guidance and support to team members regarding key issues for clients.
- Manage case load numbers and participant numbers including encouraging internal and external referrals.
- Ensure competence in counselling and advocacy practice and that a high standard of client care is delivered
- Maintain good practice and standards through professional development.
- Act as a resource on counselling/advocacy for other Family & Domestic Violence/WHFS staff.
- Work within the broader community to develop partnerships to meet the diverse and complex needs of the clients groups.
- Develop, implement, and review program area and WHFS policies, protocols, and procedures as required.

This is a permanent Part-time position working 4 days per week based out of our Northbridge office, we may require travel to our other offices across Perth metro on occasion.

**Job Requirements**:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will possess the following:

- Tertiary level qualifications in social work, cultural studies, family studies, or related fields
- Demonstrated skills and experience in management and leadership, and clinical counselling, including a high level of understanding of the dynamics of domestic and family violence
- Supervisory skills and the ability to work with others and coach them
- Excellent written and oral communication and pro-active relationship building skills
- Experience in working with a wide range of professional service providers and community groups
- Personal resilience and ability to work in a community based and isolated setting in a manner reflective of the principles of community development and collective impact
- Ability to operate in a complex and challenging environment with competing priorities and effectively lead multidisciplinary teams
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and COVID-19 vaccinations

Desirable:

- Fluency in a language other than English
- Experience of working with CaLD communities, particularly CaLD women
