Family and Domestic Violence Support Specialist

This role involves providing culturally safe support and advocacy for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence. Our team is dedicated to empowering individuals to live safe lives.

About the Role
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Accept referrals, conduct intake, and perform risk/needs assessments
  • Develop and implement case management strategies
  • Build trust and provide one-on-one support
  • Support clients to maintain personal safety
  • Advocate access to relevant services and make warm referrals
  • E nsure alignment with WA FDV Risk Assessment and Management Framework
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and data records
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant social service degree or diploma (desired) or significant relevant experience
  • Strong cultural knowledge, skills, and community networks
  • Experience in FDV support and working with survivors and perpetrators
  • Knowledge of the WA FDV Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (desired)
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunity principles
  • Valid driver's license, National Police Clearance (within 3 months), Working With Children Card, and First Aid Certificate
