We are seeking an Advocate to provide culturally safe support and advocacy for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Accepting referrals, conducting intake, and performing risk / needs assessments
- Developing and implementing case management strategies
- Building trust and providing one-on-one support
- Supporting clients to maintain personal safety
- Advocating access to relevant services and making warm referrals
- E nsuring alignment with WA FDV Risk Assessment and Management Framework
- Maintaining accurate case notes, reports, and data records
A relevant social service degree or diploma (desirable) or significant relevant experience. Strong cultural knowledge, skills, and community networks. Experience in FDV support and working with survivors and perpetrators. Knowledge of the WA FDV Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (desirable). Understanding of Equal Opportunity principles. Valid driver's license, National Police Clearance (within 3 months), Working With Children Card, and First Aid Certificate
BenefitsFull-time role – 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday in Kalgoorlie. 44.58 p/hr + super + $2.78 regional allowance. Salary packaging benefits available.
