About QBCC
The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is the independent regulator of Queensland's building and construction industry. QBCC ensures industry integrity, compliance and consumer protection, administering the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme and overseeing licencing, financial sustainability and regulatory enforcement.
QBCC's role is to educate, protect and support the QLD building and construction industry and community.

As CEO & Commissioner, you will lead this evolution - enhancing governance, strengthening stakeholder engagement and driving forward an efficient, customer-centric regulatory framework.
About the role

**Key Responsibilities**:
Lead QBCC's strategic transformation, modernising regulatory services and ensuring operational excellence.
Strengthen governance, compliance and risk management, fostering transparency and accountability.
Engage with government, industry and consumers to drive trust, fairness and enforcement consistency.

This role requires an executive leader with extensive experience in regulatory, legal, governance, or construction-related industries. Success in this position comes from thriving in complex environments, balancing public accountability, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
