Key Outcomes and AccountabilitiesThis role provides high level, confidential strategic and operational advice to the CEO and Commissioner of the QBCC in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
You will lead the forward planning and preparation of critical briefings, speeches, and documents to ensure the CEO is fully informed for meetings, events, and ministerial briefings.
You will collaborate closely with the Senior Executive Coordinator to manage diary commitments and ensure timely briefings, while also liaising with the Ministerial and Executive Services Unit.
A core function includes drafting and reviewing papers for Board, Committee, and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings, as well as leading the SLT secretariat function including coordinating agendas, meeting packs, and tracking action items.
You will also represent the CEO when required, manage cross functional initiatives, lead special projects, and foster strong relationships across senior stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.Candidate AttributesTo succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with a deep understanding of QBCC operations and the building and construction industry.
Your ability to deliver rigorously considered strategic advice, evaluate complex data, and use a range of systems and tools is essential.
You will have excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities that influence and motivate diverse audiences.
This position requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage competing deadlines, and the autonomy to navigate sensitive or complex matters with discretion and sound judgment.
